Amazon FAIL

Amazon.com has decided that material with GLBTQ or other alternative sexuality content (BDSM, polyamory) will no longer have an Amazon Rank, and therefore will not appear on bestseller lists. There is a list of affected material here, including Annie Proulx' Brokeback Mountain and E. M. Forster's Maurice, Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Dart, biographies of Oscar Wilde, and Hello Cruel World: 101 Alternatives to Suicide for Teens, Freaks and Other Outlaws, a suicide prevention manual.

This is an excellent time to encourage everyone to buy from Good Vibrations, Blowfish, or your local independant bookseller. If you're in the Atlanta area like I am, I particularly recommend shopping at Charis Books and More or Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse instead.
