Valentine's

I should come up with clever Valentine's day plans. Well, no. I kind of have Valentine's plans, I just don't like them.

Sadly, I have a pretty good idea what I'm going to do with my Valentine's day: I'm going to go to work, then sit around by myself waiting for my honey to get out of class. I might even eat some chocolate while I wait, or write something naughty. By the time I get home, I may even be too tired for Valentine's nookie!

Tragic, I tell you. Tragic!

While I'm talking about books...

Periphery: Erotic Lesbian Futures is available for preorder and has a story by Lyda Morehouse, whom I fangrrl wildly. The story is called "ishtartu," is set in the AngeLINK universe, and is about a sacred prostitute. You can also buy a version for Kindle, if you have one.

Is it available yet?

Unwelcome Bodies, by Jennifer Pelland

Hey, check it out! It's a naked man!

Now that I've got your attention... you should buy this book, and not just because there's a naked dude on the cover. You should buy it because it's a collection of cool stories by a cool person. This anthology includes "Captive Girl," which is on the 2007 Gaylactic Spectrum shortlist.

Sigh.

There are two markets I want to send my latest story to, but they're both closed. One says to come back in February '08. *clicks refresh eight or nine more times* The other one is Circlet, who says they'll open to the Best Fantastic Erotica contest at the end of this year.

Coming out at work.

I came out to someone at work today.

I'm not really out at work for the most part. Not so much because I'm afraid of getting fired--our nondiscrimination policy includes sexual orientation--but more because it doesn't really seem to be anyone's business. I mean, really, it doesn't come up. "Good morning, I'm bi." Um, not so much.

Which pretty much means that I recently came out to two coworkers even though I've worked with them for four years. I don't lie about it--if you ask me right out I'll tell you--but I usually don't volunteer the information, and no one asks.

*flails with glee!*

*high-pitched squeal!* My first review ever! I'm so excited! Look look look look!

I'm going to go bounce up and down now. :D

Coming soon!

I received (and returned) my edit requests for "Wish You Were Here." Let the clicking commence!

Seriously, my story should be up relatively soon. I will certainly announce it here when it does.
